Honda Accord ictdi 2.2 L 2004 chain broken
Good evening hon members. Hope all is well with you. Just to introduce myself, I’m a new member just joined the forum.
My friend had his Honda accord chain broken and after trying to repair it he gave up because of the expensive nature of repairing these engines. So he asked me to buy it at £150 and I bought it.
Now I'm trying to repair it. So far I've removed the head from the engine and I noted that one tappet on cylinder number three is broken. Also other casualties are the protruding aluminium inside the chain cover around the crankshaft, three chain guides.
I didn’t struggle much to remove the injectors and all seem ok
My next move is to have the head checked if valves are damaged though looks fine by sight, and removed the sump to check if the crankshaft is ok. The cam sprockets look fine as well
Questions:
1) I’ve identified Febi chains both timing (30699) and pump (31115), my question is, are they real and can they function normally on accord?
2) Where can I find chain guides at reasonable price?
3) If I manage to resource all needed parts, how do I align the timing or where can I find the repair manual (diesel engine) as most seen on EBay and Amazon don’t cover diesel engines? Or if possible can anyone please send me pictures or instructions of how to time both chains on the sprockets.
Many thanks

[QUOTE=TexasHonda;355628]No experience here on diesel Accord engines.
Suggest purchasing a Honda Shop Manual for your model. Try Helm Inc and check ebay for options. Helm may be only source available.
