Hi, I am new to the forums. Thank you to all in advance for any help they may offer.

I have a 1990 Accord LX with about 323,000 miles on it. The other night I was driving home from work, and all of a sudden my lights dimmed, the instrument panel lights dimmed and I also lost engine power; no acceleration. This is the first time it has done this as I have not driven it since then.

I was reading through other forums here and I saw a post that referred to the main relay. Could this be my problem as well, or is there some other problem that may exist? My father in law thinks it could be the battery terminals themselves, but I am a bit leary as to that being the case.

I am at a complete loss and I hope someone here will be able to give me some advice.

sounds like you got a bad alternator...........did battery lite come on ?? have a shop test the alternator and charging system
