Honda Acoord 2003 AC not working
#21
bad idea to leave it jumped for more than 30 seconds, a continuously running compressor will be damaged. sounds like the control head is not sending the A/C request signal to the system. recheck for codes, i bet you find one or more.

I knew leaving it jumped would be a bad idea. Hence I havent been driving it around much.

Did you check the clearance on the compressor clutch? My A/C would blow cold for a few minutes then stop. Had the stator and clutch changed at the dealership. Another guy said he was able to change the clutch with the compressor still in the car, but with the location of the compressor caused me to chicken out, and let the dealership do it. Cost me $600.

Hang on....How are you "jumping" the relay? Are you pulling it and adding a wire to two of the four terminals to send power to the compressor......? Wish you had a testlight or volt meter. Can you show a picture of the two you are jumping?
