Hood Prop Rod

Default Hood Prop Rod
On 2009 honda accord the plastic part of the prop rod crumbled. Does anyone know of a way to fix this without having to buy a whole new rod?

Not sure if you can glue it back together.

You may need to get that plastic piece from a junkyard vehicle

Honda list price for a new rod is about $15.
