Does anyone know of a hood damper kit that is made for the 4 cylinder Accord? The ones that I've seen are all made for the 6 cylinder. Tired of the rod.

 

I don't but you should be able to retro fit the ones for the six pretty easy. The engine compartment is essentially the same. As long as there is clearance between the hood and the top of the fender well there should be no issue.

 

The problem with the 6 banger set up is that car comes with a welded bracket on the fender. Another problem is the cost of the shocks through Honda >$130.00. I was looking for something around $60.00 that I can just bolt on. Even if I purchased the Honda shocks, I'd still need to have the correct brackets in order to install.

 

There is no bolt on setups that I know of. You can't just bolt them on as the metal on the body is too thin to tap and bolt to. You best bet is to drill the holes for the support bracket, JB weld the back of the brackets and pop rivet them to the body. Or just tack weld them if you have a welder. As stated previously you are going to have to custom fit/retro fit it.
