horn issue
in my 1993 honda accord my horns do work but when u push the buttons i hear a clicking noise from under the drive side dash, i went under the dash and pushed the buttons, there is a box that i seen was making the clicking noise and i can feel the clicking with my hand while pushing the buttons. i looked up the box and its the cruise control box. what does this have anything to do with the horns? everything else on the steering wheel works so i dont think its the clock spring but i could be wrong. someone please help me!!
You were probably feeling the horn relay. Unplug the speaker part of the horn. There may be two for them and they are usually bolted on the radiator support. There should be one wire that is black and another that is not black. Get a volt meter and test the non-black wire for 12V when you have an assistant push the horn.
OK, lets hear from 1993 owners out there....
Can you hear the horn relay clicking? Is that normal?
If not, the first thing I'd try is replace the horn relay. It's SUPPOSED to click, but maybe it's abnormally loud?
