Default Host of random car issues

Okay so I have a 1996 Honda Accord Station Wagon that I have had for about 1 1/2 years. I am not sure of the engine size, I think it may be a 2.1 or 2.3 (will have to check in the AM). Automatic transmission.

My car has run perfectly for me the whole time I have had it until 2 weeks ago. The check engine light come on suddenly, but nothing happened and it still ran fine. The next day I took the car out to drive across town. I made it halfway there and the tranny started slipping in 3rd gear. At the same time it started stalling every time I came to a complete stop and pressed on the gas to go. I limped it home and did not use it again until now.

I move to a new apartment so I had to move the car. It drove perfectly fine without the tranny slipping, but it would stall several times after shifting into drive from park. Sunday I tried to take it out to hit the store at the end of the street- I was careful with it and did not stall it. I started having tranny issues immediately. So I tried to turn around to go home and it stalled several times. After that the tranny acted fine without slipping at all.

I am at a loss as what to try first with this car. I do know that I need to take it to someone to get the error codes.

Also a little bit of background on the car... My radiator fan stopped working 6 months ago so sometimes it over heats, but I am careful with it. I was supposed to get it fixed for that next week, but now I do not know if I should fix that first or something else.

Any input welcome. Thanx guys

Stop by a parts store and get the codes, because we would be guessing blindly without that information.

Does the electrical connector to the radiator fan have 12V when you have the a/c running?
