how to chane the light on the shift stick accord 2008?
Dear,
Can anyone help me to change the transmission bulb of my accord 2008? I just need the first step as I was struggling which part should I take out first? There is silver square which is around the stick, I tried to get out but it was very hard and I afraid to destroy it. Should I remove this part or the big black console around.
I really need your help if you aware of accord 2008
Thanks
Amin

Do you mean the automatic trans position indicator panel light in the console.
Details are in shop manual (automanualsource.com download for $22)
It is a rather elaborate procedure to access the panel light. I would live w/o since it's not critical.
good luck

1. You just need to pull up the center console panel (the black color piece), which is held in mainly with clips, and then disconnect the power socket connector and heated seat switch connectors (if you have heated seats).
2. Your car is probably an automatic transmission since you mentioned the silver square. The bulb and bulb harness is on the right side, even though it looks like you are located in the UAE.

You're incorrect. The black console cover panel would need to be removed first, before you could even safely attempt to remove the silver trim piece without breaking it. It is not even necessary to remove the silver trim piece to replace the bulb.
