How to check fuel injectors
I have a 96 accord 4cyl v tec with high milage. About three months ago right after a fill up the car started to have a rough idle. Since then I have cleaned the iac, all codes are clear, changed the O2 sensor, plugs, cap, rotor, wires were changed, checked for vacum leaks, codes are clear and still a rough idle. I also ran a few bottles of techron through thinking dirt in an injector and same problem exists. The only thing that comes to mind is dirty or hung up injector. Is there any way to check for a bad or hung up injector?
Thanks,
lee

RE: How to check fuel injectors
What do you mean by rough idle? Continuous dead miss, hunting idle speed, bad idle vibration. What is idle speed? Does it almost stall under trans load when you first shift to D4?
If car runs smoothly at speed, the injector is firing. There are "noid lights" to confirm the injector is firing, which seems likely. You can listen w/ a stethoscope for clicking of the injector.
good luck
