How to disable door open lights on honda accord 1993
Hi, my car is a Honda 1993 accord LX. When I got home, one door lights is stuck on, even though the door is closed. It's the right passenger side on the back. It constantly triggers (flickers) when the car is running like the door is open. So when I shut off the car it stayed on.
I'm wondering how to disable that. I tried shutting the door multiple times to see if it would stop. I had to disconnect battery to stop it otherwise my battery is going to go dead.
I know it's just a light bulb in there. Can I take the light bulb out? Or how do I manually stop this!?

It is probably easier to test the door switch that is mounted near the trunk side of the door jamb. When the door is open, that switch should be a closed circuit between the electrical connector and the base plate (where the bolt holds it to the door). The switch should be an open circuit when the door is closed. You can probably just unplug the electrical connector to verify it fixes the problem. Replacing the switch is the other option.
Search youtube for replacing door jamb switch honda accord for a video. This is much easier than pulling a bulb from the dash, and I'm not sure if each light is a single replaceable bulb, or a light soldered to the circuit board.
