How hard is it to change 05 Hybrid brake pads?

I've changed a few brake pads but on slightly older cars. I have a 2005 Hybrid and am wondering if it's a relatively easy DIY project before I go out and start buying parts.
I have 55,000 miles and I think I hear the warning squeeling but I'm not entirely sure so I thought I'd get some pads and take a look at how much is left.
Thanks in advance!

I am not ready to do mine on my hybrid yet but since I have noticed that many brake jobs are done by people that should be braindead, I started doing it myself.
My first reward was a $1400 savings.
My other car VW Touareg has big brembo's (stock). Dealer wanted $2000!!!!
So I did for $600 (on line parts) I have since always used hawks. Awesome pads, gentle on the rotors and hardly any dusting.
Once the time is there I will take my time and take it part.
