Are you sure they are bad? I have to ask as part of the testing procedure is to the connector at the coil.....

The engine started running very rough (undrivable rough) and threw error codes for misfire on those two cylinders. I reset the codes and they came back the same.

I am an old-school engine guy. I have worked on cars with spark plugs a carb and distributor. Right now I cannot afford to pay a dealer and I need the car for my job, so I am trying to do it myself.

Thanks much,
Eric

Well, testing is key, of course you know that......Could be one cyl causing the "other" to seem like it is missing. So if you are not able to test them...switch them to see if the mis-fire moves?

If it's like my 03 V6, there is a wire connector that has to be disconnected, then an allen head bolt holding it down. After those are removed, just pull the coil out from the spark plug tube. Like the previous post said, switch the coils to other cylinders, to make sure the misfire moves with the coils.
