'92 Accord high milage - bad coils?
So my girlfriend and I have been having a problem with the consistency of her '92 Accord starting up. It started with just a few tries at the ignition before turning over. Then progressed to more time before it would start (without needing jumper cables though).
As of late, the car will not serve us for short trips. If we forget, we'll end up stranded in a parking lot until it's ready to turn over. This wasn't too big an issue, but now the length of trip is getting longer--that is, the time the car sits between trips before starting.
One time a fellow Accord owner told us he had a similar problem and it was the a problem with the coils. He fixed/replaced his and now it works fine. Does this sound like a good diagnosis? Is this a relatively easy/cheap fix? Could I do it myself--I'm fairly handy but don't have very much car knowledge if it's not already evident.
Thanks in advance,
Jared
