hey guys, my name is Butch. I have to admit, Im not a car man, I just bought an automatic '92 Honda Accord because I knew they were dependable cars that hold their value. I really need help because Im noticing that D4 and D3 both have trouble getting started, once it gets going, it's straight, but this kinda worries me like the transmission might be going bad? I checked the fluid and it's full. putting it in 2 helps, but can this just hurt my transmission more than help?

 

clarify a little bit... when you say trouble getting started does it pull to one side, does the engine rev and not move? What exactly does it do that doesn't feel right? underpowered?

Also you might think about getting a tranny flush and then fill with proper honda fluid. Sometimes this has made a world of difference in crappy shifting hondas.
