Default I think I got a radiator problem... any ideas

So I've got a Fluidyne radiator in my 96" accord and I think somethings going on with my cooling system. First off, I had an overheating problem during long idle periods, really long idle periods only. I think I solved that with a new ECT switch on the thermostat housing. Haven't tested it yet. But my question is, why does my rediator never overflow into the overflow bottle? Is that a bad thing if the car isn't over heating? I don't really know what to think of it. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Do both fans run with the A/C on?

My bad, I should have mentioned that my entire AC system was removed a long time ago. When my car overheated at the track a few weeks back, the fan did come on when I shut the car off. I jumper wired the connecter that goes to ECT switch A (on the thermo. housing) and the fans came on with the car running. That why I decided to change that sesor. But like I said, I haven't tested it yet.

Your radiator has to get fairly hot before it builds enough pressure to overflow. Under normal operating conditions you shouldn't have any overflow that I'm aware of.

You should not see any coolant draining from your radiator if your car is not overheating. The overflow tank should always have a minimum level of coolant in it which would make it difficult to determin if it were infact overflowing.

So I agree with all of that. But, I have in the past filled the overflow bottle to right between min and max before, with the actual radiator full. Then about a few days later, the ovrflow bottle will be empty. So it goes dry, but never fills up again.

Actually, let me add to that. The last time the car overheated at the track, I never checked the overflow to see if it had fluid in it. But at normal operating temps, I know it doesn't put fluid back in it.
