Default I think I got jipped

Hey,

I bought an ACT Pressure plate for my Accord, its a H-026X and a clutch which is the 6624210. I check both the numbers on both items and check the website too. Everything says they should work with my car and should be compatible with each other. Yet, I took it to a mechanic and he told me they did not fit together(the pressure plate and clutch disk). I think the guy most likely did not know how to put it on. Can you guys help me out with this? They should work right? And if they should, do you guys know anywhere I could get it put in some where in Long Beach CA.

Thanks
Daniel M.

Most clutches come with the pressure plate.... I don't know any companies that sell them separately including ACT... The clutch disc itself doesn't fit on the pressure plate... it's just sandwiched between the flywheel and pressure plate, so as long as pads on the clutch rub on the friction surface of the pressure plate you should be fine.

Your mechanic doesn't sound like he knows what he doing, IMO.

Yeah, the clutch disk #2 is sandwiched between pressure plate #3 & your flywheel #1. Theres not much to FIT unless its grossly the wrong size. Clutch is centered by the transmission shaft which goes thru #3 & thru #2 and into the pilot bearing in the center of the flywheel.
