Default idle prob. pls help to diagnose

Yesterday I decided to change my radiator coolant and power steering fluid after owning this accord for about 3 weeks now, after all the procedures (new fluids in place) I let it warmed up for 3 minutes then I rev to 3k rpm for about 3 minutes and rest for a while then rev it again until it kick the fan. Then i top it off the coolant for the right amount and PSF as well. Of course bleed the system when I put the fresh coolant.

After a while I notice when I rev up to 4k to 5k rpm then let go the accelerator completely, the engine will go off all the way. I don’t know if the coolant and PSF change has to do with it, coz this is the first time I rev my car this high on Park or Neutral position. Any thought what should be the faulty part(s)?

Thanks.

You said that you bled the coolant. Did you bleed it through the valve on the thermostat housing?

Yes I loosen that valve, after some coolant flow over it I tighten it again.

further to me query, i clean the TB and PCV yesterday, and notice that the pcv was not rattling when I shake, is that mean it was clogged? Maybe this is the cause of my idle problem.

A stuck pcv can cause a surge in idle. Can't say that it is the source of your issue. Easy test, pinch off the hose to see if the issue goes away.

I think there is a idle learn procedure that the newer gen's have to go through. Don't know why the coolant change would impact this but I do see you cleaned the TB. Have you re-set the ecu and let it re-learn?

EDIT: Not sure of the procedure for the re-learn-search the DIY section. Memory tells me some of the other members have posts in there for the procedure.

Actually its idle very well, its just that when I accelerate up to 4-5k rpm then let go the accelerator (gas pedal) it will go straight down died and this is only on PARK or NEUTRAL position. However if the AC is on the engine will not die it will stay in normal 800-900 rpm.
I’m I looking for possible vacuum leak?

Is the check engine light turning on (after the 2 second bulb check when you first turn the key to the II position)?

How about the maintenance items up to date, like spark plugs, distributor cap, distributor rotor?

i just got this accord recently and these are what i've done so far:
  • change engine oil and filter
  • ATF
  • power steering fluids
  • coolant (bleed the system completely)
  • new air filter and set of spark plugs (NGK)
  • replace valve cover gasket
  • clean TB, PCV and put some injector cleaner in the tank
