Idle Speed Issue
I have a problem with the Idle speed, this is Honda Accord 1999, 4 Cylinder. The idle speed drops and then goes back to normal but sometimes it shuts off the engine. I have noticed that when i stop the car at the signal, sometimes the idle speed drops to almost zero but when i press the accelerator lightly, it goes back to normal. First i have thought that maybe it needs a throttle cleaning, i have checked the throttle body and did not find any carbon accumulation, it was very clean, i have changed the air filter but it still doing the same thing. The weird part that is that sometimes car runs normally. Your help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Stop by an autozone and have them check for codes. Post any codes on here. They start with the letter P and have four numbers, i.e. P1234.
Are the tuneup items up to date, like spark plugs, distributor cap, and rotor?

HI,
I have finally replaced the throttle body (This is a used part) so the old throttle body had scratches on the surface...after chanding the throttle body now the idle speed is very high i think it's at 2000 rpm...can you please help me adjust the idle speed...i cannot seem to find the idle speed screw. This is for Honda Accord 1999 EX, 4 cyl vtech...Your reply in this matter is greatly appreciated. Please also post a picture if you have one to show the screw it will be easier for me since i am new to this.... Thanks
PS: i did disconnect the battery for 5 minutes or so but the computer did not adjust the idle speed.....
