iLock Ignition Interlock Removal
I am unfortunate to have an iLock ignition interlock installed in my 1994 Accord. I just replaced my starter because the solenoid was going bad. Anyway, I tested the starter about 10 times last night, and it worked great. The car started beautifully when I left for work this morning, but when I had to make a stop on the way, the car refused to start. No click. Nothing. I've suspected that the iLock module has been on its way out for a while, because sometimes I would go to start the car, and there would be a couple second delay before the starter would crank.
I'm pretty sure that the iLock is dying/dead, and I am wondering if anybody out there knows if I have to remove the entire wiring harness (there are a lot more wires then I imagined), or if I can unplug the iLock module and jump some of the wires across the wiring harness in an effort to avoid having to re-splice a bunch of wires together.
Someone out there must know what I'm talking about. Thanks!
