Important Question for 2000 Accord Owners
I'm thinking about purchasing a 2000 Accord. It has a manual transmission. I've been reading about tranny problems on this model, but am not sure if it is on both automatics and manuals, or just automatics? I would love to hear from someone who owns one or can provide me with some reliable info. Much thanks.

My '98 is an automatic & hasn't had troubles. (yet)
All the tranny problems I've heard about are with automatics. I think the manual trannys are pretty good.

RE: Important Question for 2000 Accord Owners
Well actully i can speak proudly of the 4 cylcinder auto trans. I got mine with 150,000 miles on it, and only chnage the oil twice. Runs very smooth no prbs. I bealive its the 6-cylcinder autos that are very bad. My borther has the v-6 model 1998 and his trans slips and shifts hard. We change the oil with no imporvement, I guess where just gonaa wait till it dies then maybe do like a swap for a manual or something not really sure yet. Oh i case your wondering my bros v-6 has 130,000

RE: Important Question for 2000 Accord Owners
I had the transmission replaced on my 2000 accord v6 auto. at around 90k mi. This was before I got a letter about the class action law suit. The dealership replacedit under warranty without giving me any grief but I don't know if the problem with these transmissions has been corrected or if the new one they installed will eventually have the same problem.
