Default Inoperative speedo have anything to do with abs? 94 accord.

My speedo went out the other day and I did some reading up and its commong for the cluster to MESS up. So I swapped it out with a known good one. Also swapped out the VSS and the VSS pigtail. Still have no results,it only wants to work when it wants to. I have yet to check the continuity of the wires at the VSSplug but thought its better to know if a bad wheel speed sensor could cause this. As for it did on my mothers 98 Ford Windstar. Please and Thanks.

The ABS wheel sensors have nothing to do with the speedo workingon a honda.
2 completely different systems.
The exception being the ABS doesn't activate itself until a certain speed is reached.
FWIW I would be suspecting the connectionon the backthe speedo cluster.

Ya I narrowed it down to the cluster, either the connection or the cluster its self is faulty. The cluster gets 5volts at the orange wire, which is what it should be. Ill find out tomorrow once I drive with my multimeter hooked up to the clusters connector to determine if the voltage rises when the vehicle is in motion(which it should)
