Default Installed 3 trannies and still cant figure it out pls help!

Hey all, I am interested in a friends 2001- 2002 accord automatic... The tranny and motor was pulled frm another 98-02 accord. in the process the wiring harness was replace bc it got damaged...he used a 98 wiring harness. Well that tranny started slipping so he replaced it..it was, still slipping, so he bought a wreck accord put the motor and tranny in both frm a 98 or 99, still the same problem sooo he started changing ne and everything hoping it wud fix the issue, bc all the trannies that had been put in the car were in perfect wrking order (not slippin). Well nothing changed...so everything has ben switched except the 2001 ecu (cud be a 2002 ecu)...does the 1998-99 wiring harness, tranny conflict/or not wrk properly wit the 2001 2002 ecu. This is a j30 v6. Thank u for your help in advance

This will take some homework. Has your friend checked for error codes using a scanner? this may help narrow down the problem.

sell it and run as fast as you can away from it. This is a monetary black hole. Seriously.

But if I had to guess I'd say its a transmission solenoid but cant tell you which one and since it has happened on multiple transmissions Id say this is not likely. What seems more plausible is there is an electrical issues with either the; wiring, ecu / tcu, or a ground. But seriously... I'd go with my first suggestion, do that or leave it in a bad part of town with the keys on the seat for a day and then when it gets stolen claim it on insurance.... but that as we know is unethical...

Ok update...d4 blinks and check engine light for po80 I believe shift issue...so my friend said his research says its the orfisis or something (spell check that) in the tranny, wen gm made the tranny they didnt make the hole big enough and once trash gets in it or what not that is the result he said it runs 1800 to fix or honda offers a tranny alreadt fixed for 3000 or something ...so I called around and AAA transmissions in my city has actually heard of this before and has done it, the rep said its a 50/50 chance but there is a test they can do while the tranny is installed thatll they them if its actually what my friend is sayin it is and they test for free, so thats my nex stop next week. Have u all heard of this issue? Ill keep u all posted, I wont get it if they dont have a solution and he said they do it for cheaoer than 1800.
