Default Instrumental cluster lights and dash lights not working

94 ACCORD 4-CYLINDER AUTO

So I'm having a problem with the instrument cluster lights and dash lights not illuminating when the headlight switch is on. This is what I have checked so far:

-Swapped 15A small light fuse 3 times, same issue.

-Swapped dimmer with dimmer from another accord, same issue, no instrument panel.

-Swapped suspect dimmer and it works on another accord.

-Continuity on black wire to ground.

-No voltage on red wire.

-No voltage on red/black wire.

-Jumped red/black wire with ground on the dimmer switch, still nothing.

-Ran a wire from battery positive (+) to red/black wire instrument cluster and the lights illuminated.

-Headlight buzzer (buzzer that lets you know the lights are still on) works with fuse in. Without fuse no sound from headlight buzzer.

-Swapped headlight switch with another accord, still doesn't work. Suspect headlight switch works in another accord.

Seems to be a disconnect from headlight switch to dimmer red/black wire.
Hazard lights switch works. P,R,D,D4,D3,2,1 all illuminate.

What else should I be checking?

At the headlight switch, check that the red/grn wire has voltage. Try with the key off and key in the II position (not sure if the ignition switch powers this wire or not).

Thanks for your reply. Red/green does have 12 volts on the multimeter when the headlight switch is on without the key. With the key off and in the ll position it doesn't have voltage. Just for testing I ran the red/green to the red/black and the instrument cluster lights illuminated.

The red/blk wire starts at the combination light switch. It splits and goes to the gauge cluster and dimmer. Where did you jump power to the red/blk wire? Try jumping power to the red/blk wire at the headlight switch.

I went from the red/green to the red/ black and I received illumination in the cluster. Guessing I need to follow from where it splits as stated above and look for a short.

So you jumped to the red/blk wire at the cluster, or at the combination light switch?

I jumped the red/black that is connected to the dimmer to the red/green at the combination light switch.

Humm, I've seen this issue on the 4th gen's before where a "break" in the wire has happened before....

Here is a thread talking about a similar problem with the same circuit. I'm curious in where the red/blk wire has the break.
