Default Intake vacuum baffle

is this required? will it set off a CEL if i disconnect it?

i took out the fenderwell baffle box and used the top portion that sucked air from the engine bay and sealed that to the bottom of the air box and its pointed towards the from bumper for fresh air intake, basically a DIY Ice Box Intake. wanted to disconnect all the unnecessary baffles and the vacuum unit that dampens the intake charge sound.

was curious on how to go about doing this without making the car mad at me
