Default Very sluggish, possible vacuum problem?

Hello all,

I was hoping that someone might be able to lend me some asssistance. I have a 1998 LX 2.3L. My car has been acting very sluggish recently and I am not sure what the problem is or how to find the problem. It seems to be terribly under-powered. To climb even a mild hill my car must downshift just to maintain speed.

It was suggested to me that I might have a vacuum leak but I am not exactly sure what I am looking for. Any suggestions to what might be my problem?

Also, I recently added a cold air intake. I knew that I had a dirty filter and I wanted to just upgrade anyway. The sluggishness was there before I installed as well.

I appreciate any tips anyone might have!
