Default Issue With Changing Tire

My wife has a 2007 Honda Accord. Earlier today, I tried to change the passenger rear tire. Thought that it should be pretty easy, but I must be missing something obvious. I removed the 5 lugnuts; the tire is jacked off the ground high enough so that it will spin. BUt I can not get the tire to budge. I sprayed some WD-40 on the lug nuts thinking that maybe the tire was just really stuck on the axle. No luck. I can not get it to budge. Does anyone have any idea of what I can do? Thanks!

I've occasionally had to kick the tire real hard because it's stuck on the hub with corrosion. Make sure the car is supported real good, not just a jack.

Then put grease on the center-hole of the rim so it's better next time.

Haha sometimes the best approach is the "caveman approach" - hit it really hard with something. Quite often, that is the wrong approach though... I have learned the herd way before. Once I had a lug nut get stuck (I already had it about halfway off) when taking off my front tires to change my pads & rotors. I just tried to force it loose using brute strength and broke off the entire lug with the nut still attached. Since the hub is pressed on (and I don't own a hydraulic press,) I had to pay a local shop $85 to remove it just to replace a silly $2 lug.
