Default Issues with 2013 Accord EX - V6

Bought my 2013 Accord EX-V6 about two months ago and have had several issues; just wondering if these are specific to my car or if others have had the same problems: (Just note that I am not new to Accords; have been an Accord owner since 1989)
  • Squeeling noise while turning left. Issue resolved by dealer (this is a known problem to Honda related to brakes and rotors)
  • Radio has frozen once while changing channels
  • After opening the front passenger door and then locking it today, I came back to all my windows and sunroof being wide open. Very disturbing as it was raining hard today, but fortunately this was the only time that my car was under a carport. Hopefully it won't happen again as it would be disasterous)
So far I find the 2013 model very disappointing. Although I get better gas mileage and quieter ride, there are several items I don't like about this model:

Inside storage is very limited (not even a coin tray)
No light in the glove box
Annoying issues stated above

There have been various reports of radio problems with 2013 Accords. Have not seen any reports of definitive resolutions.

The windows and moonroof opened is usually due to the unlock button on the remote being inadvertently pressed. There's been similar reports in the previous generation Accords too (i.e., windows applicable to 7th (2003 - 2007) and windows and moonroof applicable to 8th (2008 - 2012) generation Accords too). This was noted in Honda technical literature before.

In the previous generation Accords, there were glove box lights for 2008 - 2009. Then Honda did a glove box light delete and a few other item deletes, starting in 2010 models. Go figure; possible cost saving cuts?

Thanks for the post. At least I have a answer regarding the windows being open, but I still don't understannd why the windows and sunroof need to be able to be opened using the smart entry key.

It seems to be a feature Honda added to probably allow owners to cool the car down a bit or something else before they get in. The thing is you can't use the remote to close the windows and moonroof back. The key in the door lock can close them back.

I have the EX coupe 4 cylinder that is a week old and thank god I haven't experienced any of that "yet". The only thing I'm experiencing is a tire pressure leak. I didnt know the smart key can roll down the windows, guess I learned something new today. I'm still on the look out for any issues that the car might run into. Other than that I am quite happy with the car.

I just bought a 2013 white EX L V6 Coupe yesterday and surprised to find that there isn't a glove compartment light. Honda did a good job on the exterior, but cheaped out on the interior. There is a nice compartment on under the radio, but the opening and closing mechanism is cheap. Why put a nice cover on the compartment just the skimp out on the funtionality. Unfortunately, I put a down payment on the car and the dealer had to locate this hard to find model so I wasn't able to check out the car prior to delivery.

The 2013 Altima has much more options including a remote starter for a slightly lower price. Altima has a lot more technology/feature and better quality leather (my opinion). I should have bought the Altima and now I am regretting buying the Accord.
