Default Just bought a 2011 Accord Lx

Hey accorders,

I just bought my mom an accord. I've always been a toyota guy but decided to give honda a try. I bought it for 21,700 bucks. It's a bad deal but the smile and joy on my mom's face...priceless.

anywho, just wanted to know if any of you guys notice the shaking on the power steering fluid under the hood? I came home from work and looked around because last night i was at the dealer until 1030ish finishing up the paperwork. It's weird because, when i test drove it, it was smooth and i inspected the car and it seem okay.

maybe i'm being paranoid but just wanted to know if you guys are experinceing the same thing?

much thanks GO HAF!

yen

Not sure what you mean... Does the PS fluid reservoir itself shake, like it's mounting bracket is loose?

the fluid inside shakes and it's not level. It doesn't seem like any brackets is loose. you think the engine shaking might be why the fluid is shaking? Also, the car only has 16 miles so why is the engine shaking, little shaking that is or are all hondas like this. i was never a honda person so any honda enthusiasts can chime would be awesome.

peace all

What engine?
All inline 4-cyl engines, especially displacements above about 2-ish liters, have some shake.

I don't have the 2003 Accord any more, but I'll try to remember to look at that when I can check daughter's 2007 Civic.

yeah, it's a 4 cylinder. so a little fluid shaking is common then ha? i thought there was something wrong. a new car and this issue. just wondering if anyone who bought a 2010 have the same thing. i guess i'm being too picky but paying 21k for a car is okay to be picky...

thanks jim!

I'd be picky too. I'm trying to judge what you mean by "a little" shaking.
