Just had an O2 sensor replaced on 95 wagon....labor 93.74 part 129.10
If you just purchased one please tell me how badly I got ripped off 'cause it sure feels like it. 243.80 total with shop/enviro fee and tax.

Your post has been moved to its own thread, as it was unrelated to the original thread topic.

You paid for part perhaps perhaps 3-4 times what you could have purchased a quality replacement part. Labor is perhaps 1 hr? labor which is generous time for a shop.

Your experience is why I and many others DIY.

good luck

Cost/Price is relative depending on which model (Accord LX or EX wagon), what brand parts was used, where it was purchased, where the work was done, etc.

For some comparison:

For 1995 Accord EX wagon, oxygen sensor: Honda Part Number: 36531-P0A-A01. List price: $190.58, Internet Honda dealer discounted price: $133.79, plus shipping.

Denso is usually the Honda OEM part. Denso cross-reference part number 234-4095; about $57.99 at Autozone.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

For 1995 Accord LX wagon, oxygen sensor: Honda Part Number:36531-P0B-A01. List price: $260.17, Internet Honda dealer discounted price: $182.64, plus shipping.

Denso cross-reference part number 234-4620; about $89.99 at Autozone.

Thanks for the input. I was trying to do some cross reference myself and it was the Denso @ 57.99. Looks they double the part price. Just feeling out a new mechanic. Have dropped about 1600. and now looking at R c/v axle and new press on rotors. Last mechanic put on a bad distributor and kept telling me nothing was wrong although I kept getting stranded. Just want a good job for a fair price. Feeling the stress of owning an older car and the crystal ball laughs at me and says "DIY not in your future".
