K24A4 for K24A3
Hello,
The question is about 2003 Honda Accord Coupe, 2.4L, 5 sp. manual. The odometer is at 116 k mls. I bought that car 4 years ago from someone who imported it from U.S. and have struggled to get replacement parts from over there when I needed them. Now it seems that I'll have to have some major work done on the engine and that has made me consider engine replacement. Does anyone here know and would they be kind enough to educate me on possibility of replacing K24A4 in my car with K24A3 normally found in european accord type S of the same generation? If not, could you please direct me where to look for this info?

Suggest obtaining shop manual for you vehicle (automanualsource.com download for $22) and shop manual for the EU K24A3 engine Accord model (Helm Inc, google, etc).
Next compare sensors, wiring harness, connectors, bolt locations/sizes, etc for compatibility. You need existing harness to have same connectors at same location as your proposed new engine has. Make sure both engines use same fuel metering sensor; either o2 sensor or A/F sensor.
Also you will likely need a new PCM to match your engine.
Perhaps someone knows answer straight away, otherwise this is a big unknown w/ potential for major surprises.
It might be easier to order parts from US.
