My up date is that over a period of a few weeks all three keys are having the same problem and the car stalling with no warning is dangerous as the car behind me almost killed me. I did notice there was a big recall #02-031 that describes what was happening so I called Honda America they told me my car was not included in the recall because it came out of Ohio. They also said the ignition switch is not a part that should fail. They told me that they would note my complaint and I should call NHTSA so I did and they want to expand the recall that it didnt matter which factory the car came out of they used the same part.
Then I made an appointment a the local shop to have the ignition switch replaced and they were replacing one on a car like mine as we spoke and the shop asked the guy if he was part of the recall and he said yes and he did have it replaced and it was failing again. I had read a few posts of people having the ignitions switch replaced in the recall and still had the replacement fail.

The replacement ignition switch is the same switch as the original factory ignition switch. Remember that your original switch lasted for 12 years.

I hope the new switch lasts 12 years also. Thanks for taking the time to help me Pahonda.
I hope all is well at your end of the road.

Happy Holidays

I had the ignition switch replaced 12-19-11 and that was my cars 3rd switch replacement and my son just called and it's going bad again so I guess I will be putting in its 4th ignition switch. It is what it is and it is a great little car!

Default Shop recommendation in Atlanta

My accord is in Atlanta with my son and my accord is having ignition troubles. I and my trusted shop are in Md. so if any one has a shop they trust and can recommend in Atlanta I would very much appreciate the recommendation.

Thank you
Tiana

I don't know any Atlanta shops, but had a similar problem w/ my daughter in Illinois (long story how that gal was so far from home!) w/ brake problems.

Anyway I have an Angie's List subscription for Houston so I went online and added Champagne, IL for $10 (not sure) and found a decent shop to repair her brakes. This is better than guessing w/ yellow pages.

good luck
