Leaking heater hose

Leaking heater hose
'96 Accord, VTECH, auto: Replaced hoses when I replaced engine, BUT used the factory hose clamps. Of course, now one is leaking at the firewall. How do I get in there to replace the hose clamp? Looks to me like I would need to remove the upper intake manifold to have enough room to replace the hose clamps. Any better way, or do I need to take the manifold apart? Thanks

RE: Leaking heater hose
wooooooo,,,,no need to take anything apart, you should be able to replace all the hoses without removing the manifold .
if it is the hose at firewall, remove the air intake tube ,, that should give you planty of room to replace the clamp for the heater hose at firewall.....
also, you do not have to take the hose off, just slide the clamp that is there now backwards on the hose and install a new hose clamp , the one that you spread open and tighten with a screwdriver .
