Have a fantastic 91 Honda Accord EX, 177,077 mls.. Just replaced valve gasket seal around cover to stop the leaking and severe smoking, I figured the smoke was from the leak. That worked fine, no smoke for 2 days. Now the smoke is coming from the exhaust, white smoke, not a little amount! The smoke starts when engine gets hot. I have an idea of the cause, stem seals, maybe the head gasket but just a newbie to repairs and don't want to screw more things. The reason or diagnosis will be so helpful.
Any info would be greatly appreciated and glad to join the club!
Thanks

White smoke is likely from burning coolant, so my guess would be a head gasket.

When the engine is cold, remove the radiator cap and check for oil in the radiator.

ditto....white smoke=water/coolant burning off through the engine. not good. possibly a head gasket, or worse. have it checked out by a professional unless you just want to keep throwing money at it. fix it right the first time and be done with it. find someone you trust and have them check it out.

good luck!
