Default License Plate Bulb

I drive a 2000 Accord Coupe and wanted to know what type of light bulb does the License Plate bulb use? Also, anyone from Toronto, Canada know if it is illegal to change that to white?

Thanks!

I'm not from Canada so I don't know anything about the legalities of the color.
I would take out the old bulb, take it with me to radio shack or another electronics store, and find a bulb that matches it. That's probably the cheapest & easiest solution. You could ask a dealer, but they will probably rip you off on the price.

Well yeah, the dirty off white of incandescent bulbs. You won't get in any trouble by changing them to a cleaner LED white.

The only other issue I have is if the light will shine right to the ground or will it be concentrated only on the license plate area. Anyone know?
