Location of transmission filter on 2002 Accord SE (6th generation)
I am looking to change the transmission fluid as im noticing the transmission is starting to act funny. Nothing major but some delay downshifting from 2nd to 1st. It has 160k miles on it and im not sure if its ever been changed as ive only owned it for 2 years but I would like to change the filter when I change the fluid just incase.
Also can someone confirm this for me. I heard its bad to do a complete flush with this many miles on it and its better to just change the fluid, drive it a hundred miles or so, change the fluid again and repeat this until you have change the fluid 3 times. Wouldnt that basically be a flush? Is this the safest route to take so I dont mess my tranny up?

Performing a "flush" is bad for ALL automatic transmissions (i.e. using a machine to push ATF backwards through the transmission). Per a 2010 Honda manual, dumping the fluid 4 times (with a relatively short duration drive between services) will result in a 93% refresh of the ATF.
The filter is internal to the transmission and is not serviceable without cracking the transmission case.
