On my 2014 Accord Sport the check engine, low tire and light showing the car has lost traction stays on and you can not accelerate, I so far looked at the front wheel censors hoping one was broken. I have seen post about the warning lights but not one with the accelerate issue.

 

What could cause this issue?

 

Not sure. Stop by a parts store and have them scan for codes. Hopefully the code gives you a direction for troubleshooting.

 

I took it to AutoZone. Lights stayed on but ran normal. They got code P0088 FP sensor high voltage, 83-11 PCM malfunction engine and 71-12 Open in seat sensor position sensor. On the way home no lights no running issue.

 

Is your accord fuel system direct injected into the cylinder?

My guess is the fuel pressure sensor is sending high voltage and causing the car to go into limp mode?

 

It has the earth dreams motor which I believe is the direction injection motor. Where is the fuel pressure sensor located. So far I can't find a Honda part number for a 2014 sport non California Automatic trans

I did the timing chain inspection. It is off a couple teeth and is loose enough to be removed without removing anything. I expect the chain timing is the issue but the chain and tensioner is on back order from Honda currently.

 

After changing the worn out timing and oil pump chain along with related parts the issue is still there but slightly different. Check engine light flashes for a seconds and no other lights. Auto zone scan reads P0088 High Pressure Bank 1. It still goes into limp mode. It has an engine miss at times that last for a seconds. Do Auto parts store loan a tool to scan the high pressure?

 

I don't think Autozone has an advanced scanner as a loaner tool, but you might want to call and find out.
