Default Low Brake Pressure?

Long time reader, first time poster. I just replaced the front brake pads on my '01 Accord, 4 cyl (first time do it yourselfer). I took it for a drive and the brake pedal is very soft and goes almost all the way to the floor. It feels like there is not brake pressure or do the new brake pads just need to break in (no pun intended)????? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

did you pump up the brake pedal several times before you took it for a drive ?? if you did ,and pedal felt ok, but goes to floor now, you might have either an external leak or a bad brake master cylinder .

Turns out I just need to bleed the brakes. I accidentally removed the banjo fitting?/brake hose and got some air in I think. I'm a novice, but it works now. Thanks for your help though, I love this site.
