Low Idle

Low Idle
I drive a 2001 accord automatic and lately my rpm has been idleing really low. Around 500 or so. It feels like its gonna stall when im come to a stop or when i am at a complete stop. I've been asking around to see what could be the problem. When i first start the car its fine but once it warms up its back to the same old thing again. I thought it would be the motor mounts but again, im not too sure. Please if anyone knows what the problem could be, PLEASE PLEASE let me know! Thanks very much!

Usually this can be fixed w/ a good cleaning of throttle plate (both sides) and bore of throttle body around plate. Use throttle body cleaner. Wipe clean w/ paper towel.
Also clean idle air control valve movement w/o dousing the solenoid w/ throttle body cleaner as this may damage the windings. Check that idle air control valve works w/ 12V and ground applied directly to connector lugs. It should open w/ 12V and spring closed when voltage is removed.
good luck
