Low steering fluid or brake? Please help

The power steering reservoir is about the size of a 12oz soda can. It is on the passenger side of the engine more towards the front bumper with a red cap on it.

The brake fluid reservoir is on the driver's side of the engine bay near the windshield. It usually has a grey cap on it.

If you have the owner's manual, it should show you the locations of these items.

Just look to see if either of those reservoirs are below the min line.

I have a DOT 3 yellow bottle from Prestone, do I open that cap and pour it in?

DOT-3 is brake fluid, pour that into the brake fluid reservoir, yes. Not into the power-steering fluid.
