I used the $16 O'Reillys special on my car, and haven't had any problems so far. They have only been on for 2500 miles though.

Did you move the new ones around before installing? I hope they didn't feel gritty right out of the box?

Did you have to beat on them to get them in? Or did they go in relatively smoothly?

Ive been getting about 4-4.5k miles out of these. The install wasnt smooth but it wasnt a beating either, nothing that I wouldn't see as normal. And yes, before installing I moved it around and it was squeaky clean.
