Lucas Anti Slip in 04 Accord
I have an 04 Accord with a V6 engine and about 105k miles. My tranny is beginning to slip so I was going to pour in a can of tried and true lucas anti slip in there. Some mechanic told me not to do this as my tranny would be dead within 2 days if I did - i've used lucas on others cars with great success in the past. Is it ok to put lucas in my tranny fluid or will it royally mess up my tranny as this mechanic claims? Also, I should probably just change out my tranny fluid all together, you should only use the Honda ATF, correct?

I would try changing the transmission fluid first with Honda ATF.
You will drain about 3 qts of ATF, refill, then drive. See if you get an improvement. Look at the old ATF for metal shaving, color, burnt smell, etc. Clean off the crap on the magnetic drain plug.
You should do the drain/refill/drive a total three times to exchange most of the fluid.
