Lucas Transmission Fix for my accord.
My 94 with auto tranny has 160K, it shifts hard and sometimes makes a noise, I got a tranny oil change 2 months ago, and I want to add a bottle of Lucas Transmission Fix, can I add the bottle of Lucas without draining some ATF fluid out? Will it be too much fluid without draining some and cause tranny to some how overfill and leak out the extra fluid? Thanks!!

RE: opps hit reply my accident.
I have read posts recommending you not add that stuff at all. I have never had any luck with it in the past.
If you do add it(your decision) I believe you will need to drain some fluid first if your trans is totally full.
I added something like that to myMustang a while backcause it was leaking trans fluid - it didn't do anything I could tell.

The stuff I used was not Lucas brand. it was a cheap off brand "stop leak" fluid for my mustang. maybe I'll try some Lucas in my Mustang now!

I used Lucas in my Nissan Maxima. The transmission had a lot of problems already but it stopped most of the leaking and made it shift smoother. Mine was low on fluid already soI just added it without draining the old stuff. I think on the bottle it tells you to add half the bottle to existing fluid...that's my two cents. good luck to ya.

if your tranny is totally full then yes you will need to drain some fluid out because that entire bottle of Lucas replaces a full pint of tranny fluid. its good stuff also give AMSOIL, Mobil 1 Full Synthetic or the Castrol Import Multi-Vehicle tranny fluid a shot they all work well in Honda
