Default Rust in the engine bay!!

Upon carefully observing the old 93 accord's engine bay I noticed something that sadly never stuck out to me before. RUST! AGGGHHHHH!
It is very bad too!
It is right above the passenger side wheel well and sadly, it has already rusted a small hole all the way thru...

Now, I am currently saving money for the h22a swap and I'm quite certain the rust is robbing from the rigidity of my vehicle...
I got 2 estimates so far, and both guys talked about a triangular weld after cutting out some of the metal. This, unfortunately will cost me about $400 - $500!
What should I do?
I will post pictures soon....

well you have two options, pay the $500, or get a grinder, grind off all the rust, spray on some protectant/paint it to protect from rust, and leave the hole there.

the other option is to cut away the rusted area, take a piece of sheet metal and put it on either side of the hole, spread some silicone under the edges/around it to prevent water from getting in, then pop rivit it all together, then if you want a nicer finish bondo it and feather out the bondo so it's less noticeable, there's a $50.00 or less fix.
