Main relay location
OK, I figured it wouldn't take long for the interior of the car - parked & turned off - to become hotter because of the sun.
There's some instructions somewhere about re-melting the solder connections on the circuit board in the main relay. The root of the problem seems to be solder joints that were not made hot-enough when it was manufactured.
