That's a reminder based simply on miles (7500 miles). Gotta reset it yourself when you do scheduled maintenance.

- Turn car completely OFF.
- Press & hold the odometer-reset button.
- Turn key to 'ON', you don't have to actually start the engine.
- Continue holding the button for 20 seconds or so.
Lamp will flash & then go out. And then it'll come back on in another 7500 miles.

ok this was Ironic because I was about to post the same question.. only i have a 92 accord LX and the maintenance required isnt a light it looks like one of these mechanical guages that goes from plain to orange. its been there since I got the car and alwyas wondered how to reset it, iis it the same as the 99? or what do I do differently

My 91 Accord has a slot next to the maintenance req'd indicator and you just push the ignition key into the slot and it resets the indicator to green. I use it as an oil change reminder.

cajun is correct, you should see a little slow to the lower left hand side of that gauge "light/indicator" just put the key in there and it should reset to green, mine's about to do the same thing....
