maintenence required light
I read some of the older posts but I just wanted to confirm that I was looking at the same thing... I have a little green "light" (doesn't really look like a light but more of an indicator) that is green on my speedo just under the odom. It's green right now and says "maintenece required" is this the indicator that other people have referred to that goes off after 7.5k miles? and how do I reset it? I read to hold the reset switch in and put in the key and wait about 15 seconds but I wasn't sure...

It's a replacement Speedo.. I have the old one in the back of my car *L* The person I bought this car from has Literally a FULL glovebox of Maintence records... Speedo changed (apparently a common issue) Timing belt, regular oil/services... I couldn't believe it...

that lite changes from green to yellow to red,, when it is red , it is due for maintanance,, what you do is stick the ignition key in the little slot right next to the maintanance lite and push down on it ,, it will reset the lite to green...............if it is green now you are ok,,, that lite is supposed to change color as you approach 7.5 k milers telling you that it is due for service,
You must have an earlier year car....
...next time you ask a question , it would be nice if you could start with year and model we are dealing with, it makes it much easier for all of us who are trying to help you..
