malfunction indicator lamp

Default malfunction indicator lamp

Hi all just bought an accord 2.0i se exec 2000 plate,been driving for 5 days and this lamp came on!!!! What does it mean and what should i do to fix it? any advice or tips appreciated.

It means the engine computer detected a problem and stored a code specific to the problem. I don't know if the parts stores where you live scan for codes as a free service.

Once you get the code, you can post it on here and we can help you out.

Thanks PAhonda well i know a chap who may be able to scan it when he does ill get the fault codes on. To change the subject do you know if aerial on these cars are automatic as this one is broken lookin to get it fixed also?

The antenna is probably powered. Starting in 1996 in the US, the antenna was part of the rear windshield.

If you hear a motor sound when you turn on the radio, then it is powered. If the antenna retracts near the gas tank lid, then you can pull back the inside trim in the trunk to see if there is a motor.
