Manual or automatic gearbox

Hey guys,
I'm going to buy a 1.8 LS Accord (European model) build in 1999. I can't decide which is best: A manual or an automatic gearbox. I heard some rumours that the automatic gearbox has much more problems, needs more servicing andis less reliable.... I have seen 2 nice1's which cost about the same, they also have the same milage (63.000 miles). Please some advice/comment.
thx,
Tycho

definately a manual tranny,, no if ,and, or buts ...
much funner to drive, less needed maintanance and a lot cheaper to repair should it go bad

I also suggest manual. Much more fun. My first car was a manual, then I got an auto (cause I couldn't find another manual in the right price range) and every day I wished I had waited to find another manual. I finally got my manual 2000 LX in December of last year and have never once regretted it!

I'll agree with you guys that the manuals are more fun, but on the other hand, can someone please post some reasoning other than "its more fun" for a reason to pick a manual honda over a automatic transmission Honda? I'm looking for some actual technical knowledge and reasoning.
Is there a certain year that has turned out worse than expected for Honda's in regard to transmissions?
