Welcome to HAF.........

so what is exactly your question?? if using mobil 1 is ok ?? or do you need directions on how to change the oil and filter ??

if it is to ask about mobil 1 ,,,,,,,,,,,yes go for it , mobil 1 will be very good for your car .. you will need about 4.5 qts ..assuming you change the filter which you should do everytime you change oil

I removed the 5W-20 oil/filter at 2,340 miles (as I remeber). I put in Valvoline 10W-30 petroleum base to continue the engine break-in. I will change that out to Quaker State synthetic 10W-30 at about the 5,000 mark. I had planned on using Mobil 1 as my first synthetic, but I have been able to buy the QS for $1.99 after rebate. I now have 18 quarts in stock.

I checked out all of the synthetic 10W-30 oil specifications and there is virtually no difference in them as far as I can tell. And at that price I can drain it at 4,000 miles.

except that Qs is a dino base oil. because of the level of refinement it is allowed to call itself synthetic. but still when it is mixed with the byproducts of combustion, it will still create "sludge"

mobil 1 is a true pao base oil, that just doesnt have what it takes to make sludge.

As we know 5W20 is recommended but not essential. Were it me I would use 5W30 as opposed to 10W30.

Just my opinion... but I wouldn't put Quaker State motor oil in a lawnmower... I have seen first hand the inside of an engine (as well as others in here I'm sure) that has had a steady diet of Quaker State... not a pretty sight... [sm=badidea.gif]

Yeah I use 5W-30 mobil1as opposed to 10w-30. As far as mobil1 goes, I wouldn't use anything besides it.

the larger the difference between the first and second numbers on the bottle........the less durable the oil is, because there is less actual oil and more additives. i just posted an absolute gem of an oil write up, everyone interested in oil should read it in its entirety.
