That new Mobil1 Extended Performance oil claims 15,000 mile oil change intervals. I am curious what some of you Honda experts think of this. Thanks...

 

I used it once... Got too nervous at 10,000 miles and changed it. You have to watch the oil level so you don't burn too much between changes.

With today's engines, they can easily go 7,500 on regular oil, probably farther on synthetic.

 

I change mine at 5,000 or 6,000, I plan on keeping my accord until she dies.

 

I suggest oil analysis if you want to extend the oil drain intervals. Its very possible to go 10k miles, but I wouldnt do that until after doing a couple of analyses to establish the oil life under YOUR driving conditions.
